Being willing and obedient
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Isaiah 1:18-20 King James Version
THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
When things have gone wrong and you are walking in sin the Lord says: “Come now, and let us reason together…”, in other words let’s talk about this. Talk to me says the Lord our God, ask me and I will not only forgive your sins, but I the Lord your God will cleanse you white as snow, I will remove your sins. Notice God will not only forgive your sins, but H/e will remove them! This includes the sin of not tithing and giving offerings also. Now comes the conditions though; you must be willing and obedient. Willing and obedient to what? First and foremost to change and then to do what God tells you (in His Word) and to do it His way not yours.
MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, every good thing I have in my life has come from or because of You. I can never thank You or praise You enough for rearranging my life so that it will begin and end in You. You have truly washed away my sin and made me whole again through Jesus. I give my life to You now and I will strive to do Your will from this day forward. By the power of Your Holy Spirit I ask you to strengthen me and help me to do your will. In Jesus mighty name I pray.
Amen
