THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God is like gravity, you can’t see Him but He still exists! To deny there is a God would be like trying to deny there is gravity. You can deny it exists, but jump off a roof and I guarantee you it will prove to you that it does exist! You can deny God now, but on judgment day you will know that He exists, but it will be too late then to acknowledge Him as Lord!
How many of us have ever raised an angry fist to the sky, cursed the darkness, and denied there is a God or worse yet – cursed God! Each of these things is equally ineffective and really very futile. To believe that there is no God is only to rob ourselves of His Love, His mercy, His grace, His hope for our lives, and a heavenly future with Him for all eternity. How foolish indeed to forget or deny that behind a creation of wonder, beauty, greatness, unexcelled pattern, and kingly order is our God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is therein. The great I AM who was and is and will be forever. Who is far greater than His handiwork in us. Man didn’t just happen to come about nor did we come from some other species or crawl out of the ocean as some slime blob. God created man (us, you and I) in His likeness and in His nature for His great pleasure!

MY PRAYER…
Lord God Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, thank You for being there, not just then, but for being with me today and everyday. Thank You Lord for creating me in Your likeness, breathing the breath of Your Zoe life into me, for giving me Your Spirit and placing in my character your character and being. Help me Lord to never forget that it was You who gave me life, and it’s You who give it more abundantly. There is only one God, one Jesus, & one Holy Spirit and you Father them all in one! In Jesus name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The sound of fury and power! Mankind loves power. We love the sound and fury of power, especially when it is at work for us. We love the ability to change things that having power brings. But think about the power that was held back when Almighty God’s only begotten Son was persecuted and murdered on the Cross so we could be saved. Too many people stop right there and think “I’m saved, that means I’m going to heaven”, and fail to realize the full and awesome power released through the Cross that day over 2000 years ago, and then the exponential power release 3 days later at the resurrection, when the rest of God’s power through the Holy Spirit was released. The resurrection, that’s the greatest power ever unleashed on this earth and just think what it made available to us. My Bible says: “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11) Quicken your mortal body, make it healed and healthy and whole and full of life! Salvation is a package deal, why would anyone want to remove just one item from the gift box they received and be satisfied when the box is full of many more gifts! What about our healing, our prosperity, freedom from bondage and depression, our deliverance from all the works of the devil. ALL these are there in that same gift box from God also. So many denominations stop at just being saved and going to heaven someday. But, Jesus bought ALL of God’s gifts for us when He went to Hell in our place and defeated the Devil. It’s part of the package deal. Now that’s an awesome display of power.

MY PRAYER…
Holy and Majestic Father on high, I praise You for Your incredible might and power. But I also thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace which guides the release of that power. Thank You for helping me to realize that I am but as the dust of the earth without Your sustaining Spirit. Thank You for saving me by withholding Your mighty judgmental power so I could be pardoned by the mercy and grace of Your sacrificial power. That because I was washed in the Blood of Your Holy Son Jesus, I am now cleansed and righteous before You. Thanks Dad, for not giving me what I deserved, but Love, Grace, and Mercy instead. Through blood of Jesus I offer this prayer.

Can you imagine what an honor it is to have the Creator of the universe, the Lord God Almighty, living inside of you! But when we love each other, that is exactly what happens. When our hearts are full of love, there is a place made for God and we fulfill His desire for us. He allows us into His Secret Place. When our hearts are not full of love, we leave God little room to do His Work in us. Instead we leave an open door for the evil one to come in and take up residence and produce his sinful character in us. Let God complete His love in you. Love one another with the ‘God kind of’ love!

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, it is so comforting to know that You are not far away – that I live in You and You live in me. Help me see others with Your eyes, and respond to their needs with Your heart, so that Your love may be complete in me. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Is your love for others ever increasing? Can you think of anything more exciting to say about your church (your brothers and sisters in Christ) than “The love every one of you has for each other is ever increasing!” “Increase my Love, O Lord.” Let’s pray and act to make it so! God will then add the rest unto us.

Holy Father, may Your love so fill us that we cannot help but share it with everyone we come in contact with, especially others who call on Your name as we do. Did you know we are to love our enemies?
As Christians we are supposed to do and act like our Precious Lord did when He walked on this earth. He says we are to love our enemies and do good to and for them. If we show forth His love to those who are in need and those who would despise and use us, to those where we know we will not get a return back from, then we will receive our reward from God the Father. He will receive us as His children, children of the most High God. Heirs to the Kingdom of righteousness. And we show forth the true meaning of Christianity — being “Christ” like!

MY PRAYER…
Father I thank You that You have not asked us to do something that You have not already done Yourself and that You have not already equipped us to do. For You have given us Your grace, Your mercy, and Your strength to cope with the things of this world. You have given us a Name that is above all other names. That You sent forth Your Son Jesus, my Lord and Savior, because You so loved the world. The strength and grace You sent through Him more than equips me to carry out Your will. Thank You Father, for the reward You have reserved in heaven for me and for the blessings bestowed upon me now and for the grace to continue to do Your will here on earth. The Secret of God’s A.S.K. Principal

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you know and understand the secret of God’s A.S.K. principal? Do you use God’s A.S.K. principal?
Wisdom is that illusive quality we respect in others, especially in our leaders, and yet find so difficult to develop in our own lives. Solomon asked for it with a pure heart and God gave him great wisdom and also much, much more. God promises wisdom to those who truly, from their heart ask for it. But remember the secret of God’s A.S.K. principal;
Asking, seeking, and knocking. Or better yet, check out Proverbs 2:1-11. Wisdom is ours only if we seek it with all our heart and above all other possessions and if we value it above all other diversions. God longs to impart it, but there is something about wisdom that demands we value it before we can receive it.

MY PRAYER…
Heavenly Father, one who gives all good gifts, please continue to bless me with increased wisdom today and tomorrow and from this day forward. Let me reflect Your will and live for Your glory in all my decisions. Let Your Spirit guide my heart as I make my choices and have Your Holy Spirit lead me in all Your ways. I confess, Father, that I cannot guide my own steps without Your help. So grant me wisdom this day Lord to be able to know Your will for my life and follow Your will in all I do. In Jesus name I pray.

Jesus: The Real Reason for the Season

First, Let me say this: I know that this is not the true actual birthday of Jesus Christ our Lord, He was not born in the winter. But it is the day Christians have adopted and for centuries now celebrated in remembrance of His birth. I don’t care what the original non-Christian holiday or celebration was, that no-longer matters. It is now Christmas, with a capital “C” meaning “CHRIST IN US.” The word Christmas is a shortened version of the term Christ-mass or the story of Christ. No other religion has a day or holiday called Christmas. A holiday that is ALL about ‘giving’. A day remembered because God gave us His very best, His only ‘Son’. And this day needs to be referred to by it’s ONLY name and that name is “Christmas.” This not just some holiday that you can call Happy Holidays, or Kwanza (an FBI created holiday), or xmas(removing Christ from the holiday!), season’s greetings, or the time of the season. It is called “Christmas”, “Christmas”, “Christmas” with a big capital “C” whether those of the world like it or not, it’s Christmas!! If that offends you then maybe you’re living in the wrong country or the wrong century, or even the wrong world! I for one will not bow to the world’s way. If you don’t like our Christmas then maybe you should go back to the country of your choice, but leave our Christmas holiday alone. If someone says happy holidays to me, I will turn around and face them face to face and say “No, It’s ‘Merry Christmas’, it’s Christmas with a capital C.” Check it out “”
Did you know that some try to say the x is Greek short hand for the word Christ in xmas. Well, that may or may not be so, but as far as I am concerned if you can’t write out Christ for the world to see and read, then you must be ashamed of Him. Do you know what the Word says about being ashamed of Him? If you deny Him to the world, He will deny you before the Father. And that means you spend eternity in Hell!

Now for today’s verse:
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The Savior is born this day. Do you suppose those shepherds of old thought they needed a Savior? What is a savior anyway? Did they comprehend what was being conveyed to them? I don’t know about them, or about you, but if the Angel of The Lord came and spoke to me, I think that I should believe what I was hearing! And if that wasn’t enough, then the whole host of heavenly angels showed up and began praising God! Do you think maybe we should be praising God at this time also. It’s not about gifts and buying and commercialism, it is about ‘The Gift’! Its about giving, God gave us His very best. He emptied heaven of His most valuable gift and ALL for mankind!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I thank You for the revelation of who Your Son really is to me, of the revelation of what today is really all about. Father, I thank You that, when the time was right, You spoke by Your Spirit unto me and revealed Your Son to me. No man made this known unto me, but the Spirit of God revealed it unto my spirit. Father I thank You for saving me, for giving me eternal life with You, for making a way for me where there was none. Father, that I may come boldly before Your Throne of Grace because Jesus, who was born on this day so long ago, has made a way for me. Father continue to reveal unto me the mighty works of Your Son Jesus. Through the glorious name of my Savior, Jesus, I pray.

Do you wait for or wait on the Lord?

But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength;

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you wait for or wait on the Lord? That’s a very important question to ask yourself.
Many people read this verse and believe that it means they are to wait for the Lord to do something for them. They don’t discern the difference between ‘wait on’ and ‘wait for’. To wait on means that you are serving and taking care of, while wait for means that you are waiting for something to happen. See the difference there? Those that are waiting on the Lord are serving Him and in turn He will renew their strength. If you are waiting for Him, you will be waiting a long time because He is waiting until you ‘wait on’ (serve with your whole heart and soul) Him. Wait on is the accurate translation of the Hebrew and more clearly describes what the Lord is requiring here of His people. To those waiting ‘for’ the Lord enjoy the wait, it’ll be a long long wait.

MY PRAYER…
Father, I pray that the eyes of our understanding would opened and that the knowledge of your wisdom would be made clear to us. That your Word would come alive in our hearts and that we would know and understand your will for our lives. That we might be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Let God do major surgery on your heart.
How often do you let God do major surgery on your heart (your inner man, your spirit)? Let His Spirit use the Word to encourage, judge, motivate, convict, instruct, and inspire you everyday. With such a great tool so readily at hand for most of us, let’s not let a day go by that we don’t let God use His word on hearts. We may not always like what He has to say through His Word, or through the ‘man of God’, or a friend, but did you always like what your natural father had to say? What He does, He does because He loves us. Is it time to let God show you that you must make amends to those you have offended or treated badly? Is it time for you to forgive, forget, and move on? Yes forget, for if you do not forget you have NOT forgiven.

MY PRAYER…
Almighty God, Your will is my heart’s desire. But I realize that I need to be fed more consistently by Your Word. You revealed Your Word in Scripture. You sent Your Word in the flesh, Your Word paid the price for me on Calvary. I realize that I need to read, to meditate, to speak , and to do Your Word more and more every day. Give me strength and consistency in my walk with You through Your Word. Through Your Holy Spirit, inspire me to change what needs to be changed and to be blessed and encouraged in the areas that I need it most. I turn to You and rely on and trust in Your Word to point me in the direction You have for my life. Through Jesus I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Who’s Side Are You On?
It’s not, is God on your side, but rather are you on God’s side? A whole bunch of folks claim that God is on their side, and He truly wants to be. In reality, what’s more important, is whether we are on God’s side, since God doesn’t take sides! He is No respecter of persons. Whether or not we are on God’s side is determined more by what we seek and do rather than what we say we believe. For the proof is in the doing not the saying! For what you seek and do truly reveals what you really believe, not what you are saying you believe. “For by their fruit shall you know them.” God longs to be with us, but He will not sacrifice His character to extend us cheap grace, a grace that does not call us to be like Him. He’s looking for believers who put their character, their actions and their lifestyle where their mouth is through what they do, not just what they say they believe. It’s easy to say you love God and are a Christian, but does your walk prove it? OR do you just go to church once in a while and pretend to be a Christian (Christ-like). He’s looking for people who will believe what He says in His Word and live the lifestyle everyday that He has described for us, not what we want, not what the world says we should do. Not with ungodly, immoral and unethical lifestyles, and not by condoning such behavior in others under the pretense of loving everyone, but with Godly character and lifestyle will you honor God. Do you live and walk the talk or just talk the talk? Talk is cheap!

MY PRAYER…
Most Holy God. Your righteousness and Holiness are beyond me and my ability to attain. Yet I long, Father, to be more like You in every way possible. Jesus told Philip, “If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father”. Let me see the presence of Jesus, and know that Your presence is with me as I seek You and Your character in my life. Through Jesus, my Righteousness, I pray.
