THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Notice that God, my God, is THE MOST HIGH GOD! That means there is NO other god bigger than my GOD! That means there isn’t no other circumstance, sickness, disease, thing, or god that is bigger or more powerful than my God! He is THE MOST HIGH GOD!!!
Where do you abide – make your permanent dwelling? Do you dwell (live and abide) in the Secret Place of “El Elyown”, the Most High God? Do you dwell (live and abide) under the shadow of “El Shaddai”, The Almighty God or are you living in the shadow of the circumstances that are of the world around you? No matter how we are attacked or persecuted if we are in that secret place of the Most High God no evil can befall us, no foe can touch us. Look closely at this verse. My God is the Most High God, there isn’t anybody, no other God that’s as High as He is! He’s the Almighty, the most powerful, The All in All. He’s anything and everything you could possibly want or need! But you must abide in Him, you must walk and live in His shadow if you expect to receive from Him. I have found the secret of the “Secret Place”!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father God, thank You for being my Fortress and my Refuge in life’s storms. Thank You Lord that You have covered me over and have delivered me from all evil. Lord thank You that I can abide in that secret place with You at all times and that You are my comfort and my strength when I am weak. Thank You Lord for placing Your angels with charge over me to keep me in all my ways. Lord, thank You that when I set my love upon You, You deliver me from life’s trials and that You know my name! That You have called me by Your name. Through Jesus, my Lord and Savior, I offer my thanks and praise forever.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Born again? Then you have overcome the world and are victorious – now live it out! Are you born again, born anew of God’s Spirit? Have you made Jesus the Lord of your life, it’s the only way to be born of God. It’s the only way to heaven, there is NO other way! Jesus must be Lord of your life before He can be Savior of your soul! If you are and you know it, then you have already overcome the world! Nothing in this world (the natural) should sway you from the things of God. But, how do we get that victory? It’s already ours, He said so in His Word and His Word is truth. First and foremost, by the blood of Jesus, but we get it through our faith in Him and His Word and then living out that faith by letting Jesus be our Lord and guide in what we do, say, and think! I didn’t say it would be easy, I only said we have the victory. Do you believe you have the victory? If you do then you have it. His Word says we win.

MY PRAYER…
Father, I pray that You would reveal unto each and every one of Your truly born again children through the eyes of their understanding that ‘victory’ which Your Son HAS ALREADY provided for us through His Death, Burial, and Resurrection. That we would have a deep heart felt understanding that mere words cannot express. That You would burn into each of our hearts the fact that we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us. Also Father I pray that You would continue to soften the hearts of those who do not yet know You and Your Son Jesus. That we might gain more of them for Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ glorious and mighty name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
What part of “I have forgiven thee” do you not understand? He said it in His Word, we need to believe it. I have forgiven you, I have healed you, I will cause you to prosper and gain wealth. Actually that’s pretty straight forward. Why is it so hard to believe? He said in Matthew 6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you”, in Exodus 15:26 “…for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”, in Nehemiah 2:20 “… The God of heaven, he will prosper us;… “, in Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom…”, in 1 Peter 2:24 “…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed.” And in many other places through out the Holy Scriptures. Notice also that these are in past tense – they are already done! Why is it so hard to believe? Quit listening to man and his doctrines of demons. Quit listening to those preachers who do NOT rightly discern the Word of God, Quit listening with your natural ears and listen with the ears of your spirit and get the Word of God in your heart – your inner most spirit!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I thank You for making me one of Your children, for forgiving my transgressions and my iniquities. But father, You also said that You healed me of my diseases. Father, help me to understand that You have already done this, that it is not something You might do in the future. You also said you would prosper me and everything that I set my hand to. Father, help me to increase my faith and to receive that which You have already so graciously provided through Your Son, Jesus. In Jesus name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Did you die in Christ so that you can live in Christ? We must understand that what happened to Jesus on the Cross that day happened for us. We must know who we are in and through Him. When we understand that it also happened already to us, that we were there on the cross with Him (by faith), then and only then will we consider ourselves dead to sin. Once you consider yourself dead to sin you will no longer commit it. You will realize that you have dominion over sin. This will only come about when you get real revelation knowledge (when you know, that you know, that you know, that you know, in your heart) of what Jesus did for you and not just “head” knowledge, memorizing and being able to regurgitate the scriptures is NOT revelation knowledge.

MY PRAYER…
Father, I pray that the eyes of our understanding be opened, that You fill our hearts with revelation knowledge of Jesus Christ and Him crucified for us. That we may know from our hearts (our spirit man) what happened to Him for us and that it also happened to us in Your eyes. Father, fill us with Your spirit that we may walk in the newness of life that only comes from the life giving power of Your Holy Spirit. Let that same life giving power that raised Jesus from the dead; live, dwell, abide, and make it’s permanent home in our hearts. In Jesus name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Justified before God

Nothing in the Law (10 commandments) can justify you before God. Are you justified? Definition, Justified: To be in right standing before God, to be acquitted of all sins before God. Can you stand before the Creator of the Universe and be acquitted? There is only one thing you can do that will justify you before the Lord God Almighty. That one thing is to believe by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and what happened to Him for you on the Cross, and then accept Him as your Lord and Savior! All the works of the law (Religion and religious works, keeping the ten commandments, being good, doing good, even going to church regularly, etc.) that you do will not justify you before the Lord God Almighty nor will it stand the test of fire on the day of judgment. Only what you have done by faith in Jesus will remain. Knowing ‘about’ Him is NOT enough. You must have had a personal day to day relationship with Jesus. If you have, He will stand before the Father and say “Father, this is Pastor Duane (insert your name here if this true for you), he is one of mine. I have justified him before You!”

MY PRAYER…
Everlasting Father, may Your love for Your people continue to be burned into my spirit. May what You had Jesus do for “ME” that day on the Cross be forever engrained in my heart, may I never cease to remember and to give You thanks and praise for loving me so much before I ever loved You. Father, I thank You that I have been justified (2000 plus years ago) by the Blood of Your Only begotten Son and that by my faith in Him I can come boldly before Your Throne of grace and mercy and that I may partake of all the blessings of heaven here on earth. THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Forgiveness. What a sweet, priceless and precious gift. What we could NOT fix, make right, make up, or pay for; what was impossible for man, God did for us through Jesus. With Him each day is a fresh start, the past is gone, forgotten, blotted out. “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”, Psalm 103:12 You can’t get West by going East, you will always still be going East!! But what a cost to God to achieve that forgiveness, His Son had to became our sacrificial lamb. He placed Himself upon the altar of God in our place. The question is: “Have you received that Grace?” It is a gift and MUST be received, you can chose not to receive you know. Many have not chosen to receive this most Precious Gift from God.

MY PRAYER…
Thank You, Father, for the anguish that it cost You to forgive my sins by the blood of Your Son. Thank You that You were willing to make a way where there was no way. Thank You for giving You’re best. I pledge today that I will not take lightly the cost of my sin and will live in appreciation of Your grace. Lord strengthen me by Your Holy Spirit that I may be able to live the way You would have me to live. Through Jesus, who sacrificed all for my salvation I pray.

Praying The Right Kind Of Prayers

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
What kind of prayers do you pray?
Are your prayers pro-active or reactive prayers? God’s actions are NOT reactions to current situations, but part of His long-term plan to bring redemption to the lost. Yes, He has done marvelous things: He took the evil intent of a mob who cried “Crucify Him” and turned it into an opportunity to fulfill the prophesies and redeem us. He took my wife and I half way around the world to be a part of the redemption of over 12,000 spirits for His Kingdom in Feb. – Mar. 2000. He protected lives and prevented the attempt on Sep 11, 2001 from taking the huge toll of lives that the attackers had hoped for originally. So don’t ask where God was on 9/11/2001 he was hard at work preventing many more from dying than did. Those that died probably didn’t heed His warnings or couldn’t hear Him anyway.
He has instead turned many lives back to His Kingdom and to prayer. It’s His plan, His way, or no way, there is no other way. He is perfect in His faithfulness and has done and will continue to do marvelous things. If we let Him. Important point: “If We Let Him!”,your choice. Pray for prevention it before it happens, NOT after it happens when you then need a miracle!

MY PRAYER…
Holy God, You surprise me with new wonders and new things daily. Yet deep in my heart I know they are not new to You. You ask new things of me daily and yet I know they are not new to You. Thank You for not making life boring or predictable so I might thirst and hunger after more of You. You who are forever fresh, new, exciting, and marvelous. Lord I will exalt You and praise Your name, for You are perfect and faithful always.

Competent, Able Ministers

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Are you a competent able minister, ALL Christians should be. A new covenant, God willingly entered into a new agreement with us, His creatures, He sealed it with the blood of His “First Born” Son, Jesus, and He sent the Holy Spirit to give us the power to live the life of this new covenant. In this new covenant we are to be ministers (servants & workers) of the Spirit not the letter (the Law, the Ten Commandments). God has made a covenant of love and grace and mercy with us. The Almighty has then turned around and made us worthy and competent to share that covenant with others. No wonder it is life-giving: it brings life to us and through us by His Love and the power of His Spirit!

MY PRAYER…
Father, I thank You for Your Word. God, thank You for Your Love and grace that has saved me from sin and has redeemed me from the law of sin and death. Thank You for sending Your Love gift of Your Son and the gift of Your Holy Spirit so that I can live with You in a covenant of life, grace, mercy, and love. While I confess my weaknesses, I also promise You that I will live to honor Your sacrifice, love and covenant; trusting that You will empower me, by Your Holy Spirit, to be what You are calling me to be. Because I know that of myself, I can do nothing.

Financial Woes

Bring the WHOLE TITHE into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
What to do when you are in a financial bind.

Do you know what we, as Christians, are to do when we are in a financial bind or in debt?
Should we submit to God and give our tithes to Him first? Verse 10 above says that God says: “test me in this” this is the only place in the Bible where God allows us to test Him!
The Word of God says that the first fruits of our income belong to Him. If you are NOT tithing somewhere you are being disobedient to GOD and His WORD PERIOD! That is NOT me telling you that, it God’s Word telling you that!
Will God be trusted to provide for our needs in a tight financial situation if we tithe when it looks like we can’t afford to? Actually you can’t afford NOT to tithe – you just don’t understand that. Or will you be like the rest of the world and let money rule you? God has NEVER failed to come through for my wife and I NEVER!
Notice that in verse 11 God goes on to say what else He will do when you bring your tithes unto Him!

The Word of God says if we will put the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first, then He
will see that all of our needs are met. (Matthew 6:31-34) Notice it’s needs not wants.
Too many Christians claim to know God’s Word and yet refuse to tithe. (Shall I name names here? I could! He has shown me many.)
Why? They are robbing God and themselves! See verse 11 above!
Are they ignorant, or do they just want the curse upon? Maybe they think it doesn’t apply to them or that they can get away with it.
Have they let man offend them, or are they just letting money rule them? Remember the tithe is unto God, NOT to a man or the preacher or the church! Though that is where you give it.
They sit and listen to the Word about tithing and give their “Amens” and nod their heads that they understand the Word, and yet when it comes time to give their tithe or an offering they often just pass the collection plate on to next person. I could name names here because God has given me first names of those who claim to know the Word concerning Tithing and the difference between a Tithe and an Offering and yet they barely give even an offering (which is NOT a tithe, they are two different things.) And this they only do once in a while. But, He wants me to pray for them that they get a true Revelation of His Word, not enumerate them publicly.
Giving an offering once in a while is NOT tithing, it is NOT even in-line with His Word. We are supposed to have our tithes and offerings ready to give every time we come into the house of God according to His Word. And besides His Word says to give tithes AND offerings. They are different. Do you know the difference? A tithe is you move the decimal place one place to left in your check and that amount is a Tithe, and an offering is something you give above and beyond the tithe!
When you do not tithe and you know God’s Word says to, you are in disobedience and are rebellious.
You set yourself up for the curse to come in clean house on you.
You tie God’s hands and He can NOT do His part (Verse 11 above) because you have NOT done yours!

MY PRAYER…
Father God , I pray that You would continue to help us purge ourselves of the I and Me, and show us how to refill with more of Jesus. Help us, Lord, to lay our cares at Your feet, and to not get caught up in the things of this world, but that we would be doers of your Word. Father, You said in Your word, for us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness and then You would add all these THINGS (things of the world) unto us. Help us lord to understand truly that in our hearts and to learn to bring unto that which is Yours anyway, That in so doing we will be able to receive Your Blessing back in our lives. Help us Lord, to maintain our spiritual well being first and foremost. I thank You, Father, for Your perfect grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name I pray.

To Tithe or not To Tithe, is NOT a question!

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,

That there will not be room enough to receive it.
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
To Tithe or not To Tithe, that is NOT a question!! The scripture quoted above is very clear about what we are to do.
Tithing, you mean we’re really supposed to do that? No, We GET to do that, we have a choice. But God tells us what the right choice is and what will happen if we make the wrong choice (the curse comes). It should be done with a willing and cheerful heart, not because you have to. Remember an offering is NOT a tithe. You tithe first and offerings are above and beyond your tithe. But, God says to test or prove Him by bringing your tithes into His storehouse (your local church where you are a member and are pastored, you are a member of a local church somewhere aren’t you? That’s in His Word also!) and see if He won’t open the windows of heaven and pour out more blessings than you can contain. The Hebrew word translated here as windows (‘arubbah) could also have been translated as a sluice (an opening for water or better yet a dam or flood gate). He wants to flood you with blessings…will you let Him? And that’s not all, He says He’ll rebuke the devourer for our sakes and all we do will prosper. Is the devourer eating up your income? You have a choice, Blessings or curse…Tithe or not tithe. God even helps with the choice, in Deuteronomy 30 verse 19, He tells us to choose life!
I chose the Blessings! Some of you are choosing disobedience to God instead, that is sin!

MY PRAYER…
Father, help us to understand your plan. Help us to see how the Kingdom of God works. Open our spiritual eyes and show us Your ways. Lord help us to obey Your Word, help us to reap the blessings You have promised for obedience. Help us to reap the blessings and prosperity You have commanded us to have.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
