Trust in the Lord

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, your soul, and your very being.
What man should we fear? No man! Fear is such a paralyzing emotion. It robs us of courage and vitality, it removes our decision-making ability, and our strength. It causes us to do things we know we shouldn’t do and that we always regret afterwards. Fear is the opposite of faith and it steals our happiness and joy. Courage helps us step out of fear’s paralysis and into victory. But this kind of courage only comes to us when we fully understand our position in Christ. If we are in faith and trusting God there can be no room for fear in our lives. Satan cannot take our mind, our attitude, and most of all, he cannot take our relationship with God unless we let him do so. A relationship given to us through Jesus, as long as we trust in the Lord our God and stay in faith. Perfect love casts out all fear. And there is NO room for fear when your spirit is full of ‘Faith’, faith in God and what He is and can do!

MY PRAYER…
Mighty Redeemer, thank You for triumphing over all that I would in the natural man fear. Thank you that You have not only given me Jesus in whom I trust, but a hope by which I can live victoriously. Thank You that you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind through my Conquering King and Lord, Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus, I thank you.

The Secret Place

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you know the “Secret” place with God?
I love being in the “Secret Place” with God! Do you dwell (that means to live and abide constantly) in the Secret Place of “El Elyown”, the Most High God? Do you dwell (live and abide constantly) under the shadow of “El Shaddai”, The Almighty God? Of all the names for God those two are by far my favorites. The “Most High God, and The Almighty God”, there is NO other God like Him and NEVER will be. He is my all in all and everything you could ever need or want He can provide to you, if you trust in and rely on Him! No matter how we are attacked or persecuted if we are in that secret place of the Most High God no evil can befall us, no foe can touch us. Look closely at this verse. My God is the Most High God, there isn’t nobody, no other God, there ain’t nothing that’s as High and as ‘Big’ or as ‘Powerful’ as He is! He’s the Almighty, the most powerful, the all in all, He’s anything and everything you could possibly want or need! But you can’t be doing your own thing, you must abide in Him. You must walk and live and dwell in His shadow if you expect to receive from Him. You must allow Him to guide and direct your life. You must be in constant fellowship with Him and with His Word. His Word is life and health to all your flesh.

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father God, thank You for being my Fortress and my Refuge in life’s storms. Thank You Lord that You have covered me over and have delivered me from all evil. Lord thank You that I can abide in that secret place with You at all times and that You are my comfort and my strength when I am weak. Thank You Lord for placing Your angels with charge over me to keep me in all my ways. Lord, thank You that when I set my love upon You, You deliver me from life’s trials and that You know my name! That You have called me by Your name. Through Jesus, my Lord and Savior, I offer my thanks and praise.

God holds His children of faith in His hand. Notice I said “His Children of Faith.” If you are not His child by faith then your life is held by someone else. Your life is in the hands of the evil one, Satan. As long as you place your lives and your trust in God, no one or nothing can steal you away. Yes, times may get tough and the going may get hard, but if you put your faith and trust in God He will see you through! You have a choice, it’s up to you! You can put your life in His hands through Jesus or you can remain of and with the world and perish with it as it perishes, the choice is yours entirely. But God tells you in His Word to choose Life! Which will you choose?

MY PRAYER…
Oh Lord, thank You for Your steadfast and secure love. Thank You for the assurance that my future rests in Your hands. Thank You for holding me in Your protective grace. May I live today with confidence and joy knowing that no matter where I find myself, You are there to uphold and sustain me. For I have been given eternal life, sin no longer has dominion over me because I am no longer under the law, but now I am under Your grace. For those who are led by Your Spirit are not under the law, but under grace. For this grace, I thank You in Jesus’ name.

Being a Slacker

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Are you being a slacker? The lord has promised that all who call (from their heart, truly mean it, not just with lip service) on His name will be saved. Because He has already saved them through the Cross. He is waiting patiently for each and every man, woman, and child to call on Him. He hasn’t picked and chosen amongst us just certain ones, as certain sects and men believe. He wants us ALL, BUT the choice is ours. He is waiting to complete His spotless church. He has already provided for our (every man, woman, and child on the face of the earth) salvation, redemption, healing, prosperity, deliverance, and all things that pertain to life and Godliness that are part of that salvation. He’s just waiting for us to call on Him and claim what He has already given us. He is waiting for us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, so that He can add all those other things unto us. Or are you slack in calling on God? Won’t you do that today? Won’t you extend your faith in Him. Draw near to Him and He said He would draw near to us.

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, Great and Patient Ancient One, please continue to empower me with the boldness of Your Holy Spirit that I might lead my loved ones and dear friends to repentance in You. That I may walk in the light of Glory and that You will be shone forth in all that I say and do. So that when Jesus returns for His special people, His spotless church, they may share in the joy and eternal life that Jesus has bought for us through His death, burial, and resurrection. In Jesus name I pray Father.

Hearing By The Word of God

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Notice God’s Word didn’t say by having heard the Word once or even twice or three times, but by hearing, and hearing what is preached about Jesus. What is it we are supposed to hear? The six o’clock news, the New York Times, the Kitsap Sun, the Seattle Times newspaper, Spike TV, M-TV, HBO Cable Network, CNN News, ESPN news, your neighbor next door, the guy down at the gas station, or some other news broadcasting station? No, we are supposed to be hearing and hearing by the WORD of GOD concerning Jesus Christ and Him crucified for us. We should be meditating on His Word day and night. We need to choose very carefully what we listen to, what we watch, and whatever else is feeding our natural senses, because our spirit man, the real us, is fed through the eye gate, the mouth gate, and the ear gate. Whatever we’re seeing, speaking, and hearing the most is what is going to get into our hearts (our spirit man). God said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. In Proverbs it says: Keep (Guard) your heart with all diligence, for out of it [spring] the issues of life. We need to put on a spiritual filter and make sure that what we are hearing and seeing lines up with the Word of God, so that what we are speaking is also from God. Because if it doesn’t line up with God’s Word it will have the opposite effect of building faith…it will destroy Faith and cause unbelief, doubt, and fear. Remember, whatever is NOT of faith is sin.

MY PRAYER…
Precious and gracious Father, I ask You according to Your Word ((James 1:5 KJV) ” If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”) to give unto Your servants and your saints the wisdom and revelation knowledge of Your Word. Father, for everyone who reads this, place an urgency in their hearts, an unquenchable desire to read, study, and meditate on Your Word. That their faith may abound. That they may know the truth set forth in Your Word and that the truth will make them free. Father, I ask that you would reveal unto us the deceitfulness and the ploys that the enemy uses to destroy our faith. Father, reveal unto us how we, Your church, have been polluting our faith and compromising ourselves with the things of this world. Help us Father, to be strong again and to stand firm in our faith in Your Word and it’s standards. Father, I ask this in Jesus’ name.

Faith Like Abraham’s

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Talk about faith! When God asked Abraham to give his only son as a sacrifice, the one in whom he had been told He would use to make Abraham the father of many nations, Abraham didn’t hesitate. He believed in faith that God was able to raise him back up from the dead if need be. Abraham’s faith and obedience was all God wanted, so God stayed his hand from harming Isaac and provided Abraham with a ram to complete the sacrifice. But it was Abraham’s undoubting faith and obedience that moved God. It also opened the door for God Himself to then offer His only Son (Jesus) as a sacrifice for ALL mankind. Abraham’s faith made a way for God to use His only Son as a sacrifice for us, for all of humanity. Our Faith is what opens the way for God to bless us! Are you full of that kind of faith and would you be as obedient as Abraham was?

MY PRAYER…
Father God, thank You for not asking us to do that which we cannot in our own strength do, but for only asking that we have faith in You. You didn’t ask Abraham to do anything that You weren’t willing to do Yourself. Thank You, that You did in fact give Your only Son that I (and the rest of the world) might be saved. That through His blood and our faith in Him we might have life and life more abundantly. In Jesus’ name, Father, I pray.

Access to the Grace of God

Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Our access to the Grace of God is by our faith in Jesus. Nothing else we do can provide us with access to that grace. Not our works, not our church attendance, not our denominational beliefs, not what our parents have done for us or tell us. Not some other god, spirit, or idol, not some priest in a confessional box, only the one and only Jesus, the Son of God and God Himself can provide that access to God the Father! The only way we have access to the grace of God is through Jesus Christ and our ‘personal’ faith in Him coupled with our ‘personal’ day to day relationship with Him. Do what you may, do what you will, say what you may, say what you will but if you don’t have faith in God through a ‘personal’ day to day relationship with Jesus Christ, if you haven’t made Jesus ‘The Lord’ of your life, you’ll not enter into God’s Grace and His rest. Nor will you have eternal life and everything else that comes with salvation. Do not believe those who tell you, “We all are going to the same place. There are just many ways of getting there.” This is a lie strait from the pit of hell and the devil himself. This is NOT true, there is NO other way! Those who try to convince you otherwise are deceived of and being used by the devil.

MY PRAYER…
Most Holy Father, thank You for Your Grace and Your mercy through Your Son Jesus. No other way is open to You except through Him. You made it so in Your Word. Spoken by the very mouth of Your own Son Jesus, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6) I thank You Father for giving me the way, the truth, and the Life through Jesus Christ. For I, who was once dead in sin, have been made alive through Jesus, my Lord and my Savior. I give Him all the glory and honor, that in Him I may also glorify You. In Jesus’ Name, Father, I pray.

Reconciled to God

Reconciled to God, there is only ONE Way and that is through Christ Jesus!
Being justified by faith in Jesus Christ and faith in His name gives us peace with God. The only way we can be reconciled to God is through Jesus Christ and our faith in Him. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY! Don’t let any one deceive or fool you into thinking there is some other way. Can’t happen! The Bible says Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, NO one comes unto the Father except through Him. The Bible says that if we try to justify ourselves (make ourselves in right standing with God) through works of the law we make the sacrifice of Jesus to no avail! Nothing we can do of ourselves can bring about our reconciliation with God and our justification (being made righteous before God), except believing in Jesus Christ and Him crucified for us. Not some other god, idol, or spirit, or even some other man can reconcile us to God, ONLY Jesus. No Indian ‘great white spirit’, no Buddha, no Allah, nothing except the Son of God, Jesus. We must come to God His way, the only way, through Jesus Christ, the Son of God and faith in Him. Jesus Himself told us, “I am the way, the truth, and THE LIFE: no man comes unto the Father except by me.”(John 14:6) Is God’s Word truth or not? There is ONLY ONE WAY to God period!

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, thank You for Your Son. Thank You for sending Him to make peace between You and me, for allowing Him to reconcile us into eternal friendship. Thank You for bestowing son ship upon us who believe in Your Son Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Abba, Daddy, Thank You for your loving mercy and grace upon us. Thank You for sending us Your Holy Spirit to be our Comforter and our Helper. Thank You Father, for the power and the strength to live my life for You. That nothing this world has or can throw my way is bigger or stronger than He who lives inside of me, if I will only believe and have faith in Him. In Jesus’ name, Father, I pray and glorify You.

Does your life seem empty and void? Maybe it’s time to fill it with Jesus and the Love of God the Father!
If value is determined by price, then we are incredibly valuable to God. God took the most precious, priceless treasure of heaven and sent Him to be the remittance to buy us out of sin and death and adopt us into His family. Silver and gold pale in comparison to that value. He sent His Word, manifest in the flesh, His only begotten Son, to be the firstborn from the dead. Born of a virgin by the seed of God, a flesh and blood man like us, filled with the Holy Spirit of God at His baptism in the Jordan, the only sinless man to ever walk the face of the earth. He sent Him, Jesus, to buy us back with His Life. We were redeemed, bought back by His Blood. Blood sacrificed on the Holy Altar of God, that we might become the righteousness of God in and through Him, Jesus. Receive it, it’s yours, He gave it to you. Only by Faith can you do so, you can NOT earn it!

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, may I live today and everyday to become fully aware of the awesome price You paid for my life. May my words, thoughts and actions be permeated with a sense of worth and Holiness that comes from my fellowship with You through Jesus. Not so that I may seem important, but so that I may live in Your Holiness and bring honor to Your precious gift to me. Through Him that loves me, my Lord Jesus, I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Are you trying to stand in your own strength and power? Many of the struggles in our lives are not mere accidents! They are put there to stumble us and make us fall by the enemy. But, understand this clearly, none (not one of them) are put there by God. God didn’t put you in a wheelchair so He could use you to teach others about Him form a wheelchair! No, what God would do would be to heal & restore you & take you out of that wheelchair and then have you tell people what He did for you!! Our challenges and struggles most often come from ourselves or from the hand of our enemy, Satan. He always prowls around looking for the best scheme to knock us out of our commitment to, and our relationship with, the Lord. Then he will use your own mind or a friend or a relative or even a complete stranger to cause his scheme to be put into motion. Placing ourselves firmly in the hands of the Lord and using His tools of warfare will help us keep our enemy, who has already been humiliated and defeated by Jesus and the cross, where he belongs. Under our feet! Trust in the Lord and all His might.

MY PRAYER…
Strengthen me, O God, that I may stand against my foe and triumph by the power of Your Holy Spirit and bring honor and glory to my conquering Savior. You will return one day and take me home in victory. Father reveal Yourself to me through Your Word, Your power and Your strength that are mine to use to keep the enemy down until he is finally cast into the everlasting lake of fire. In the name of Jesus, Your Holy Son, I pray Lord.
