“Holy”

Just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Are you “Holy”?

“Holy” is one of those words we generally associate with the religious people, Like the Pharisees & Sadducees of Jesus time, a word only “religious church folks” use. That may be true, but it’s still a great concept. Every kid knows that you don’t eat hot dogs and potato chips on Mom’s best china plates. Mom’s china is reserved for “special company” or “special occasions.” Hot dogs are for paper plates and every day tableware, china is for special events or special guests. When God is calling us to be holy, he’s calling us to be like fine china, something special just for Him, and as Peter emphasizes, “just like Him.” The Greek word translated here as holy could also have been translated: sacred, pure, blameless or consecrated. God wants us to be set apart from the world, but also set unto Him. Remember, we are in the world, but we are not to be of the world.

MY PRAYER…
Holy Lord, God Almighty, I come before You knowing how great the distance is between Your holiness and my commonness. I thank You for making me holy and righteous through the sacrifice of Jesus and by sending Your Holy Spirit to live inside of me. Please receive my life today as a holy offering to You. Help me Lord to make it holy and acceptable unto You. Through Jesus, the pioneer and perfector, the author and the finisher of my faith I pray.

Are you robbing God?

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Are you robbing God? Are you giving tithes to the church you attend or have you stopped giving tithes because you were offended, or because you don’t think you can afford to give with all the price increases lately and the recession and all? Have you stopped giving because you don’t like what the church is doing with your money? Tithes is NOT your money, it’s God’s money, let Him worry about how it’s used. Oh, and an offering now and then is NOT tithing. Those of you who are being disobedient in tithing know this – God will NOT be mocked and He knows who you are. As long as you are disobedient He can not help or Bless you like He wants to. In fact He can NOT even restrain the curse from overtaking you! Get it together and do His Word. If you are NOT tithing, you are disobedient. And if you are disobedient, then you are in sin and in danger of having what happened to Lucifer happen to you!
Let me tell you something you may not know. God is not asking for something that is not His already. The tithe, a tenth of your first fruits, is His period! That’s a tenth of what you earn every time you get paid! Everything we are and everything we have belongs to God. If it were not for Him we would not/could not even take our next breath! God even gives us our ability to get wealth. All He asks is that we give 1/10th of our first fruit (what is rightfully His anyway) and an additional offering on occasion. Some of you don’t tithe, and some of you think that giving an offering whenever you happen to be at church and have a little extra money is giving your tithes. I have news for you, it’s not. A tithe is 10 percent of your first fruits (income) every time you get paid, whether you are at church that week or not! Even if you are on vacation your tithe still should be given! We give this tithe to God, through His commandment, through our local church (the church where you are pastored and cared for) for use in the Kingdom ministry. It doesn’t matter what that church or minister then does with the money, that’s between him and God. The IRS takes up to 38% or more from us, and we would dare deny God His 10%? Notice what God says will happen to you if you rob Him (if you do not tithe and give extra offerings). You are cursed with a curse. Need a description of those curses…try Deuteronomy 28:15-68 (Old Testament) for a rather thorough listing. Should I print names? God already knows who you are.

MY PRAYER…
Father, help us to see the revelation of Your Word. Open our spiritual eyes and show us the wisdom and knowledge You have hidden in Your Word. Lord help us to obey Your Word that we will not have to suffer the curses of disobedience, but will be blessed with more than we can contain. That we may be a blessing to others.

The Blood of Jesus

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Are you Washed in the Blood of Jesus?

Here we see that the “Blood” of Jesus has reconciled us to God , not our works or anything we have done. His Blood has first satisfied the broken Law (Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) and remitted our sin. Then secondly it has cleansed our guilty conscience. We can see this in (Hebrews 9:14 ) ; “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” If we understand the power of the “Blood” of Jesus we have no reason to have a guilty conscience or to have conscientiousness of past sin any longer once we have received Jesus as our Lord and allowed Him to take over our lives, thus becoming our Savior. And we have no reason to try and do good works to receive our salvation. The only way to cleanse us of sin is through the Blood of Christ – there is NO other way period.
He’s already paid the price in full for us, just receive it!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, Most High God, thank You for reconciling me to You through the “Blood ” of Jesus. Thank You Lord for the powerful cleansing power of His Holy Blood, able to wash me “white as snow”. Thank You also Lord for purging my conscience of dead works and of a sin nature. I thank You Father that I am now the righteousness of You in and through Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ name I give You ALL Glory and Honor forevermore.

Are you a conqueror?

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Conquerors! We win!! But, not just conquerors, we are more than conquerors!! When you open up the final book of the Bible, Revelation, and read and study it, that is the message put forth. Christians win because Jesus is The One true Conqueror, and HE has already won for us. No matter how the battle is going for you right now, remember that in the end, we win! That is if you persevere. If you will not give up, you can not lose, Jesus already won for you! Nothing, let me repeat that ‘NOTHING’ can separate us from the Love of God – you can only refuse to accept it!

MY PRAYER…
El Shaddai, God Almighty, Father of more than enough, thank You for securing the ultimate victory for me by raising Jesus from the dead. I know He is coming with victory on the day You have appointed, but I pray that I may live victoriously for You until that day. Jesus told us when we pray: “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” I know that there is victory in heaven, so Father I thank You that Your will be done now, here on earth, in my life. That I AM victorious now through the Blood of Christ.
As Jesus told us to pray, I pray now through Jesus my conquering King, in His Name, the name of Jesus.

Growing Your Salvation

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Salvation is a most precious thing! But like a newborn baby needs it’s mother’s milk, we need pure and wholesome Spiritual teaching (food for our spirit man) from our Father through the Word of God, so that we can grow and mature in the spirit. We need Godly teachers, Pastors, that teach the ‘pure’ Word of God, not some seminary garbage. Without this Godly teaching we will stay in the same place we are and not grow. But if we stay in the same place spiritually and do the same things we did when we were newly saved we are not growing and maturing. We have to grow spiritually! Read and meditate Hebrews chapters 5 & 6 and see what God has to say about remaining immature! We must really want to grow. We must crave what is good and what builds us up from God’s Word. Now go and read and meditate Galatians chapters 3 & 4 also. We must get a hold of all that is included in the salvation package. Salvation is not just going to heaven when you die. Salvation is a total package deal! Get out your concordance and look up salvation in both the Hebrew and the Greek. It includes health, prosperity, well being, peace of mind, deliverance, as well as eternal life and it’s for now, not for when when we get to heaven. “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” We are to have Heaven on earth. What are you going to do about it today to satisfy your spiritual appetite? The choice is yours!

MY PRAYER…
Mighty God, thank You for loving me, saving me, and making me a son and an heir. I really want to mature in Your Love and Grace. Bless me today as I seek to pattern myself after Your Holy example, Jesus. Father, increase my territory and my influence, that I may share Your Gospel with all I come to know. Help me Father to fill myself spiritually with the things that will help me grow. But Holy God, I know that true growth comes only from and through You, for You give the increase. So I ask You to strengthen me by Your Holy Spirit as I pursue Your character. Through Jesus’ mighty name

Willing and Obedient

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The question is: are you willing AND obedient?

When things have gone wrong and you are walking in sin the Lord says: “Come now, and let us reason together…”, in other words let’s talk about this. Talk to me says the Lord our God, ask me and I will not only forgive your sins, but I the Lord your God will cleanse you white as snow, I will remove your sins. Notice God will not only forgive your sins, but He will remove them! Only God can remove your sins, no one else! No priest can do this for you only God Himself! This includes the sin of not tithing and giving offerings also. Now comes the conditions though; you must be willing and obedient. Willing and obedient to what? First and foremost to change and then to do what God tells you (in His Word) and to do it His way not yours.

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, every good thing I have in my life has come from or because of You. I can never thank You or praise You enough for rearranging my life so that it will begin and end in You. You have truly washed away my sin and made me whole again through Jesus. I give my life to You now and I will strive to do Your will from this day forward. By the power of Your Holy Spirit I ask you to strengthen me and help me to do your will. In Jesus mighty name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Access to the Father by the Blood of Jesus

God’s Word says that though we were once far off, once aliens to Him, we can now draw near through the Blood of Jesus. And only through the Blood of Jesus. Though we were once strangers to God, Jesus, by the shedding of His Blood on the Holy altar of God, has made a way for us. He has broken down the wall (the sin barrier passed to mankind by the first Adam’s sin) that once separated us from a sinless God, just as the veil of the temple was torn apart when He was crucified. We now have access through the Blood of Jesus to the ‘Most High God’ (El Elyown). No matter what you have done or how bad or evil you think you are, you have access to God through Jesus. You do NOT have to clean yourself up first, that is the Holy Spirit’s job after you come to God through Jesus. Notice however, that the only access to God is through Jesus. There is NO other way.
Not works, not doing good, not being good, not through religion, not through some church program or some other so called god. There is no other way to gain access to God The Father, than through Jesus Christ, No Other way! Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, except through me.”

MY PRAYER…
Most High God, thank You for access to You through Your son Jesus and the shedding of His Blood for me. Thank You Lord that though I was once separated from You and was far away You are drawing me nearer and nearer each day through the precious Blood of Jesus. I thank You Lord that Jesus has removed that veil , that wall of sin, that was once separating me from You and that I can now come near by my faith in Jesus. I thank You Father for the privilege to come boldly before Your Throne of Grace in the name of Jesus. In Jesus’ Holy name and by the power of His Blood I give praise and glory forever.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God’s greatest promised gift to man!

The Holy Spirit is God’s abiding gift, God’s seal and His promise. The Holy Spirit is our assurance that what He began with Jesus’ sacrificial death and our participation in it through faith and baptism, He will bring to completion. But the world (those who are not born-again by the Spirit of God) cannot understand this great and precious promise, just like they cannot truly understand much of the Scripture, because without the Holy Spirit, their eyes see only what is written on the pages, and what they can touch with their fingers and what their intellect tells them is true. But, intellect cannot reveal to one the true meaning of God’s heart and what is written in the scriptures. It must be revealed by the Spirit of God to our spirit. Because the things of God are spiritually discerned, the world cannot see what is true in God’s heart and in His Word (Spiritual Truth) because they can not touch and commune with His Spirit.

MY PRAYER…
Great Eternal I Am, Who is and was and will be forever, I thank You for sending Jesus. Jesus, I thank You for sending the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I thank You for never leaving me alone. Thank You Lord for opening the eyes of my understanding that I might know and understand Your Word. That I may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power in and towards us who believe. O Lord, fill me anew each and every day until my will and my life more nearly reflect Yours. Use me to bless others just as Your presence now blesses me. Through Jesus I pray.

The Secret Place

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you know how to find “The Secret Place?”
This is probably my most favorite verse in God’s Word! I love being in the “Secret Place” with God! Do you dwell (that means to live and abide constantly) in the Secret Place of “El Elyown”, the Most High God? Do you dwell (live and abide constantly) under the shadow of “El Shaddai”, The Almighty God? Of all the names for God those two are by far my favorites. The “Most High God, and The Almighty God”, there is NO other God like Him and NEVER will be. He is my all in all and everything you could ever need or want He can provide to you, if you trust in and rely on Him! No matter how we are attacked or persecuted if we are in that secret place of the Most High God no evil can befall us, no foe can touch us. Look closely at this verse. My God is the Most High God, there isn’t nobody, no other God, there ain’t nothing that’s as High and as ‘Big’ or as ‘Powerful’ as He is! He’s the Almighty, the most powerful, the all in all, He’s anything and everything you could possibly want or need! But you can’t be doing your own thing, you must abide in Him. You must walk and live and dwell in His shadow if you expect to receive from Him. You must allow Him to guide and direct your life. You must be in constant fellowship with Him and with His Word. His Word is life and health to all your flesh.

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father God, thank You for being my Fortress and my Refuge in life’s storms. Thank You Lord that You have covered me over and have delivered me from all evil. Lord thank You that I can abide in that secret place with You at all times and that You are my comfort and my strength when I am weak. Thank You Lord for placing Your angels with charge over me to keep me in all my ways. Lord, thank You that when I set my love upon You, You deliver me from life’s trials and that You know my name! That You have called me by Your name. Through Jesus, my Lord and Savior, I offer my thanks and praise.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Will you endure to the end with Christ?
Only Christians (those who are born again, Those who have made Christ their Lord, Christ inside minded believers who walk the walk of Christ) win at life. And only those Christians who have a daily fellowship with Christ and endure to the end with Him. Not those that have a religion, not necessarily those who attend church every Sunday, and not those who think they are good and okay because they do good, and certainly not those who are always concerned about me, myself, and I, for “All have sinned” (Romans 3:23). But only those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and have given their lives totally to Him, will win. Jesus must be the Lord of your life before He can become your Savior! That’s because none of us have the power on our own to hold back any of our enemies, especially our greatest enemy death. But through Faith in Jesus, we have the power of the Holy Spirit to call upon. When we have persevered in “The Faith through Jesus” (Christian Faith), we are given the ultimate victory, ETERNAL LIFE that will not end and a glorified body to live it in. We will spend eternity in heaven with Jesus and our Father God. But, the Bible also says we can have heaven on Earth now! (To be Continued later)

MY PRAYER…
Thank You, Father, for giving me the assurance that when all is said and done, I will share in Your life and Your victory forever. You have purchased that life for me with Your Son’s precious Blood. Help me this day to live confidently, knowing that I have life through You, my Lord and Savior, Jesus, living inside of me. That because of what You did in my place, I can have eternal life, and have it now. Thank You Jesus.
