THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Hearing of the Word
How will they hear the Word unless we preach it?
Think about it, can you imagine a man, Peter, who, just days before, had denied that he even knew Jesus. He gets filled with the Holy Spirit and fire (power), stands up and preaches his first sermon and 3,000 people repent (change their way of thinking and their lives) and call on Jesus to be their Lord! How would they have received the Word unless they heard it? How will they hear the Word unless we preach it? How can we preach the Word to them that need to receive it, unless we first receive it, are filled with the Holy Spirit and fire (power), and the commission from Jesus to go. If we remain inside the four walls of our church building and don’t go out how will they hear? Jesus said to GO into the world and make disciples of all nations! Two thirds of God’s name is “go”! We have to go and tell them, just like Peter went out of the upper room into the town square and preached the ‘Gospel’ to them that would receive. Peter wasn’t Pastor Peter or Reverend Peter, or 1st Pope Peter when he went out and told the people about the Gospel. He was just a believer, a disciple of Jesus, baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire that Jesus promised us and told us to receive before we went out. “(Zec 4:6 KJV) Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Have you told anyone about Jesus today?

MY PRAYER…
Father, we ask You in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to change our hearts. Help us to have the compassion that You have for the lost, those that don’t know the way home to You. Help us to become bold through the infilling of Your Holy Spirit, just like on the day of Pentecost. Lord, baptize us with Your Holy Spirit and with Fire, that we may become bold in the spirit for You. Just like the boldness that overtook Peter and saw 3,000 added to Your Kingdom in one preaching! Father, we give ourselves unto You this day, from this day forward to do Your will and Your Plan, Your way. In Jesus’ Mighty name.

Prepared For You!

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you know what God has prepared for you?
Many of the things we anticipate and dream about are much less glorious in real life than they were in our imaginations. There is one event, however, that is better than we can imagine and is beyond our wildest dreams. When Jesus returns to take us home to the mansion He has prepared for us in our Father’s house, it will be far better than we can ever ask, imagine, dream or think of. We have no real concept of just what He has prepared for us. But, we also have no concept of what He has prepared for us right here, right now, on earth! Did He not say in Matt 6:10: “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” ? We are to have here on earth right now, what we would have in Heaven also! Jesus said that not me. He has called us to serve Him, to wait on Him and to finish the work He started here on earth. Have you answered the phone or are you just letting it ring? Have you checked your voice mail lately, perhaps you missed the call because you were too busy with everyday life. Have you checked your texts lately? He even sent you a text message, did you get that message? The Bible!
Come Lord Jesus! I will go for You!

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, thank You for knowing me before time began. Thank You for crafting me while I was still in my mother’s womb. Thank You for sending Jesus to redeem me from the curse and pay the price for my sins. And thank You in advance, Father, for the day Jesus comes to take me home to be with You forever. But in the meantime Lord, I ask that You begin to show me what You have prepared for me here and now. I want to go for You now Lord and do what You have called me to do. I will answer the call Lord, I’ll pick up the phone. I know You’re on the “Main Line”.
Through my Conquering Lord and Savior, Jesus, I pray.

The ‘Secret Place’  

Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:9-12 New King James Version  

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE… Have you found the ‘Secret Place’ with God? Have you made El Elyown, the “Most High God”, your dwelling place? Do you dwell (live and abide) in the secret place of the Most High God? God must be your Lord, your ‘FIRST LOVE’, read these verses slowly and carefully, look closely at them, meditate them over and over. My God is THE Most High God, The only true God, and if you make Him your dwelling place look at what He says He’ll do for you! No evil shall befall you, no plague shall come near your dwelling, He shall give His angels charge over you, so that you won’t even stub your toe on a rock! Man that is awesome, He’s an AWESOME GOD, HE IS A MIGHTY GOD. But have you ever thought to ask Him to protect you from evil? To place His angels over you and your family? Have you ever commanded His angels to do His Word? Do you ever thank Him that no plague can come near your dwelling? Because He is your refuge. You have His promises as long as you do your part. Covenant means each party has something they must do, yours is to make Him your dwelling place and the Lord of your life. To let Him lead and guide you in ALL that you do and say. You must be born again of God and you must keep His Word. Find the ‘Secret Place’ with God!  

MY PRAYER… Most High God, I thank You that I can always abide in the comfort and safety of your “Secret Place”. Lord I thank You that as I abide in Your shadow and under Your grace and mercy that you allow no evil to befall me. Lord I thank You that I can ask for and expect from you that no plague will come near my dwelling(s), that You will give Your angels charge over me and my loved ones. Precious Father, I know that Your angels are at work in my life day by day and that the power of Your Holy Spirit strengthens me and helps me walk in a way that is pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus’ name, Father I thank You for Your protection and Your angels who watch over me. THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Believing Is Easy!
Have you believed the Gospel yet? The Gospel story is really very simple to understand:
Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit as the Son of God.
Jesus was Born of a virgin. (Mary had known no man sexually)
Jesus lived a sinless life as a man. (God in the form of humanity-The WORD made flesh)
Jesus died on the Cross for the sin of ALL mankind once for ALL. (Don’t ask Him to do it again by praying and asking God to do something that is already done! Like heal you, that was finished on the Cross! Thank Him for it instead.)
Jesus was buried.
Jesus was resurrected the third day by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. (where by He defeated death, hell, and the grave!)
Jesus is now seated on the right hand of God, where He forever makes intercession for us, the Saints. (Saints = Those who are born again by His Blood having made Him their Lord, not someone who has been pronounced a saint by the Pope!)

The grace of the Gospel is glorious to receive. He was made to be sin that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. The sacrifice related to us in the Gospel is incomprehensible. He laid down His life ONCE for ALL of mankind. A sacrifice so pleasing to God that it surpassed and put an end to the Law (Ten Commandments and their Levitical Law requirements) for atoning for our sin. The victory of the Gospel is eternal. Eternal life with Him and with the Father, in heaven!

MY PRAYER…
Almighty Lord, thank You for the empty cross, the empty tomb and Jesus’ victory over death, hell, and the grave. Just as Jesus’ death pardoned my sin, carried away my sickness and disease, poverty, and depression, His resurrection assures my future with You. Thank You for Your grace and mercy and the glory that now prevails in my life. May my life today be lived by the power presented by and in the Gospel of Jesus and by the same power that raised Jesus from the grave into heaven, Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus’ name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S MANNA:
Who’s Word dwells in you?
Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, not the word of the world or the daily sitcom on TV, or the hard rock or heavy metal music! Not the nightly “FAKE” news from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, ESPN, CBC, MTV, FOX News or the BBC I hope. You say, “Well it’s just a movie.” I know, I’ve been there, done that, wore the “T” shirt! But, what you must realize is that the movie or news is planting seed in your heart that is not of God and is filling you with un-Godly things! Your heart, your spirit man, receives it’s input through the eyes, the ears, and mouth by what we see, hear, and speak! So, we need to be full of His Word, the Word of God. How else will we be able to teach one another or correct, warn or caution each other about bad spiritual habits. We need the wisdom of God which can only be obtained through an intimate fellowship with Christ and His Word on a daily basis. When we are full of His Word then our praise and spiritual songs will flow from the fullness of our hearts. When we are full of His Word our faith will show it!

MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:
I am so thankful today, Lord, for all the many blessings You have poured into my life. Your love, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your forgiveness give me hope for the future. Your gift of Jesus gives me life today and promises life eternal with You. The incredible physical blessings, as well as the blessings of family and friends, are wonderful. You have also given me all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Blessings that can only be understood through fellowship with You and Your Word. But the greatest of all blessings is the assurance that I will one day see You face- to-face and share Your glorious presence forever.
In Jesus name Lord I give You all Glory and Honor forever.

Freedom!

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S MANNA:
What is freedom?
Freedom is a wonderful gift when it is handled with responsibility, morality, and God’s wisdom. Freedom from the Law, not being under law (the Old Covenant, the Ten Commandments, the Mosaic Law) is such a sweet grace, but we must pass that sweetness, that grace on to each other through service, kindness, care, and love. We must remember the commandments given us by the Lord Jesus. “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Notice that Jesus said fulfilling these 2 commandments (that really aren’t new) would fulfill the Law (Ten Commandments and the Mosaic Law) and the prophets. He made it so simple for us! But freedom is not to be free to indulge in sin and feed the sinful fleshy nature of man. Freedom is not to be able to sin and then run to confession on Sunday, especially to some man hiding behind a curtain in a booth. Freedom is freedom through grace to serve God and one another in love. Freedom is knowing that if you do mess up, you can come to God (Not some man) and confess and He will forgive you and cleanse you of ALL unrighteousness.

MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Holy Father, thank You for rescuing Israel from Pharaoh’s grasp, David from the sword of Goliath, and Daniel from the lion’s den. But Holy Father, thank You most of all for the triumph of Jesus over sin, sickness, disease, poverty, depression, and all the other curses of the law at Calvary and His victory over death, hell, and the grave being raised from tomb. Thank You, Holy Father that I am no longer under the “law”, but that I have a new and better covenant, bought with the Precious Blood of Jesus that day 2000 plus years ago on a hill so far away from me. Thank You that the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death! Hallelujah!
In Jesus name I praise You.

Whose Hands Is Your Life In?  

Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:28-30 New International Version  

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE… Whose hands hold your life? “He’s got the whole world in His hand.” God holds His children of faith in His hand. As long as they place their lives and their trust in Him, no one or nothing can steal them away. Whose hands hold your life? The Devil may think he has control of you and it may even seem like it from time to time. But, if you have given your life to the Lord then there is no way the Devil can snatch you away from Jesus. You have a choice, it’s up to you! You can put your life in God’s hands through Jesus or you can remain of and with the world and perish with it as it perishes through the works of the Devil…the choice is yours entirely. But God tells you in His Word to choose Life! Whose hands hold your life?  

MY PRAYER… Oh Lord, thank You for Your steadfast and secure love. Thank You for the assurance that my future rests in Your hands. Thank You for holding me in Your protective grace. May I live today with confidence and joy knowing that no matter where I find myself, You are there to uphold and sustain me. For I have been given eternal life, sin no longer has dominion over me because I am no longer under the law, but now I am under Your grace. For those who are led by Your Spirit are not under the law, but under grace. For this grace, I thank You in Jesus’ name. Amen

Sanctified by His Word

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Are You Sanctified by His Word?
God’s Word will sanctify us. Only God’s Word can sanctify us, nothing else. That word sanctify means to be set apart from the world, but also to be set apart unto God for His use and purposes.
God’s promises, God’s Scripture, and God’s clearest message of all, His Son; are all truth. But only the last of these, Jesus, is The Truth, Grace, Mercy, Deliverer, Friend, Lover, Lord, Savior, Brother, Redeemer, Healer, Prosperer … or what ever it is that you need. He is whatever it is that you need when you call on Him. When you call on Him in Faith believing that you have received when you pray, then you will have what you asked. It may not immediately materialize, but if you believe then it is yours. It was finished for us that day a long time ago on the cross, we just have to receive it, it is not something that we need to wait for.
Has God’s Word Sanctified you?

MY PRAYER…
Father God, give me a holy passion to know Your Truth and live it in both word and deed. Help me Lord, to make my life a reflection of Your Word. To be like Him, who both proclaimed and lived Your truth. For Your Word became flesh and dwelt among us and many knew Him not. Lord help me to proclaim Your Word and Truth so that many may come know Him. In Jesus mighty name, I pray.

Have you risen with Christ Jesus?

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Have you risen on High with Christ Jesus?
Are you seated in heaven at the right hand of the Father?
Being eternal is nothing new, we’ve always been an eternal spirit, created by God in His likeness and image, God is Spirit. Being like Jesus, having our glorified bodies will be new. But when the moment of glory hung in the balance as Jesus was revived from his sleep of death by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, we too were given the assurance that death no longer claims us. The only death that really matters is our death to sin with Jesus on the Cross and in His baptism. If we have shared in the death of the cross and have been baptized in death with Him, we will most certainly share in His resurrection (Romans 6:1-14). For if the same Spirit that raised Jesus from death dwells in us then we too shall be raised from death unto life everlasting. If Jesus was first fruits, then there are many more fruits and I for one am one of them. Are you in there somewhere also?

MY PRAYER…
Almighty, Most Powerful Father God. Because of Your grace and Your Mercy and the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, I know I will see You face to face. Help me now, however, to live that resurrected life, being more like Jesus today than any day ever before and even more so tomorrow. Father, let the power of Your Holy Spirit fill me afresh each day of my life, that through Your power that dwells in me by the Holy Spirit I may live the life that pleases You. Through my Risen Lord, Jesus, I pray.

Jesus, your mediator before the Father

There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)
Is Jesus your mediator before Father God right now?
I do not intend to put down any one’s church or religion here, only to point out the truth in God’s Word.
We do not need another person, no matter how mighty, how pious, how religious, how saintly, or how special; to intercede for us before God. We do not need a priest and a confessional box, that is NOT scriptural according to the Bible. We do not need Mary or some other saint, that is NOT scriptural according to the Bible. After all every Christian is a ‘saint’ according to God’s Word! We do NOT have to be canonized by the Pope to become a “Saint”! All we need is Jesus as our Lord and our savior. I didn’t say that, God did in His Word (see scripture above.) As His children, bought by the precious blood of the Lamb, Jesus, we can go freely before our Father God, knowing that God Himself has provided the perfect mediator between us and Himself. That mediator alone is Head of THE Church and Chief Priest before God for us. His name is Christ Jesus, our Lord. NO other person is worthy enough to stand before God Almighty on our behalf except Him. No One period! I didn’t say that, God did in His Word. You need not direct your prayers to anyone except Father God, but always through the name of Jesus. He is our only link to God the Father! There is NO OTHER WAY, NONE! To understand this you must understand God’s Word and not some doctrine of man given as church history. WE are warned in God’s Word about men deceiving the saints through doctrines of demons.

MY PRAYER…
Father God, You and You alone are my God, and I praise You for making Yourself so available. I know that in my own power and ability, I have no right to approach You. Yet in Your grace and by Your mercy You not only provided a ransom for my sin, sickness, disease, and poverty, but a mediator and an advocate to stand before You and make my approach to You possible. Jesus, I thank You as well, for paying the price and staying at the Father’s side to intercede and speak for me on my behalf! Thank You for representing me before the Father as one of Yours. Thank You for making this prayer known to the Father. For truly no man comes unto the Father, except through You, Jesus.
In Your name, Jesus, I pray.
