Humble Yourselves Before God

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Humble yourselves. That sounds ridiculous, why would I want to humble myself? At least to the world and those that believe in “get ahead at all costs” and “don’t look back, the competition is gaining on you” it sounds ridiculous. But, humility is really a forgotten virtue. Being humble doesn’t mean crawling off in the corner and letting the world walk all over you. Often confused with weakness or timidity, humility is about knowing your proper place in the spirit realm of God and in the world without flaunting it. Would you rather fall on the rock and be broken or have The Rock fall on you and crush you into many fine little pieces? Only God can exalt us in a permanent way, so the key is to know our place before Him and let Him put us in the place He chooses in order to bring honor to Him. Being a pastor was not my idea, but it was God’s plan. Jesus said, “…If any man DESIRE to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.” (Mark 9:35) That’s humbling yourself. I had no desire to be a pastor, but God decided to put me in that position because it pleased Him.

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, Most Holy God, thank You for allowing me into Your presence. When I think of all that You have done, the incredible universe You have made and hold together by Your Word, I am amazed that You would invite me into Your presence and care about my needs. I am in awe knowing You have a plan for my life that would please You. Help me this day to know my place in Your courts and Your presence. Help me to glorify You in what I do and say from this day forth. Let Your Holy Spirit lead and guide me in all things. Teaching me Your will and Your ways as we go.
In Jesus’ name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
If He said it in His Word, we need to believe it. I have forgiven you, I have healed you, I will cause you to prosper and gain wealth. Actually that’s pretty straight forward. Why is it so hard to believe? He said in Exodus 15:26 “…for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” In Nehemiah 2:20 “… The God of heaven, he will prosper us;… ” In Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom…” Should I go on, and on?

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I thank You for making me one of Your children, for forgiving my transgressions and my iniquities. But father, You also said that You healed me of my diseases. Father, help me to understand that You have already done this, that it is not something You might do in the future. You also said you would prosper me and everything that I set my hand to. Father, help me to increase my faith and to receive that which You have already so graciously provided through Your Son, Jesus. In Jesus name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
It’s All About Freedom!
Freedom, that precious, coveted condition in life. There are few things in life more coveted than freedom. People have died for it through out history, are doing it today, and will continue to do so in the future. People pray for it. People strive for it. But true freedom comes from knowing the truth. Knowing the truth only comes by living in obedience to Jesus and the Word. By knowing, understanding, and living by the very Word of God. Truth is not something you merely think about or believe. Truth is something you do, something you live. Jesus’ teachings always end with the exclamation: Blessed are you who do these things! Jesus made it so simple and easy to understand, how can you not know what He meant. Only by doing what He told us to do will we ever know the truth that liberates us. You can hear about it, you can read about it, you can even see it, but until you do it for yourself and it gets into your very heart, you will not experience the truth that sets you free. That truth is the Word of God! Until you know Jesus Christ and Him crucified for you, you can not experience true truth!

MY PRAYER…
To the only true God be glory, honor, power, and praise. Father, I seek not only Your presence in my daily life, but also Your pleasure and Your will in the choices I make. Please continue to teach me more of Your truth as I pledge and strive to live everyday in obedience to Your Word and Your will. Father, help me to be a doer and not just a hearer. Let Your Holy Spirit fill me fresh each day with the power necessary to do the things You have called me to do. Through Jesus the living Word I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Our Debt has been paid in FULL!
Jesus paid the price for us with His body and His blood on the Cross. His body was broken for us that we might have health and live free from sickness and disease. His Blood was shed as an offering to God for us, a seal of the “New and Better” covenant God has made with us who believe. We have been bought with a price, a very very precious price. Do you rightly discern the Lord’s body and what He has done for you, or do you give sickness and disease place in your life. When sickness tries to come on you do you speak what the Word of God says to it or do you just receive the sickness? My Cold, My flu, My this and my that! Not it is NOT yours unless you accept it! Jesus already bore all sickness and disease so we wouldn’t have to! It’s a done deal – He said”It is finished!” You have been bought, your debt has been paid in full!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, praise the glorious Name of Jesus. Father as we partake of communion with You help us to fully understand everything that You meant it to be. Lord, open the eyes of our understanding and fill us with revelation of You and Your Word. Lord, help us to understand ALL that was done for us by Jesus on the Cross that day. Lord help us to understand who we are in, by, and through Jesus. Lord purge us of all unrighteousness that we may be as vessels of honor worthy to be used by You. In Jesus’ Holy name and by the power of His Blood I boldly make this request of You.

Looking In All The Wrong Places!

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Looking In All The Wrong Places!
Isn’t it funny that most of us pursue worldly things like fame and fortune, according to the world, the best things in life(?) according to those who are worldly. We strive to find happiness, joy, significance or meaning to life in and through these things. But we seldom find it, because we are looking in all the wrong places. You’ve heard the song “Looking for love in all the wrong places.” We are looking in the world and the things of the world to try and satisfy our spiritual need instead of looking to God and the things of God which are Spiritual. But, really the best things in Life are “free!” We are not following the principles that God laid out in His Word. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and ALL these things will be added unto you.” What things? All the things mentioned above that we are looking for, that we are looking to make ourselves happy through! However, when we offer ourselves wholeheartedly to the Lord and His will (seeking His Kingdom first), it is then that we find what we most need. It is then that the empty spot in our hearts is filled. When we have laid down our lives and picked up the life (Zoë life) of God, it is then that we are overcome with joy unspeakable and full of glory receiving the end of our faith (Eternal Salvation.) Are you aware that the Hebrew word for Salvation means: something saved, i.e. deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity:–deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health). Yes, salvation is much more than just going to heaven someday, it is also health, prosperity, deliverance from whatever you need delivered from, it is victory over everything, and it is for now here on Earth! I didn’t say that God did. Why is it that many churches and preachers only preach salvation as going to Heaven when you die? God said in His Word “On Earth just as it is in Heaven.” The Word of God says I can have Heaven here on Earth now! Is there sickness in Heaven? Is there poverty in Heaven, whose streets are made of gold? Is there lack in Heaven? Are people depressed and sad in Heaven?
There answer to ALL of these ?s in NO! emphatically NO! Then if I can have Heaven on Earth now, I can be set free, lack for nothing, be prosperous, and be healthy here and NOW! I just have to submit to God and His Word. Look to God for Love and you will find it!

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, Giver of every good and perfect gift, I ask today that You give me a chance to serve You and others in a way which glorifies Your kingdom. Father, help me to lay aside my life and the cares and things that come with it and to pick up Your life. I thank You that in the process You choose to fulfill the desires of my heart, because Your Word says it is so. Father, fill that empty place in my heart with Your Holy Spirit and Your great and precious love. This I ask and pray through my Lord and Savior, Jesus.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Bearing The Fruits Of The Spirit
It is so much easier to live by and do the things that we can see, hear, feel, taste, and touch in the natural than it is to do the things of the Spirit. Of course the point is simple: what we can see, hear, feel, taste, and touch appear to be more real to us than something in the spiritual realm. That’s why we need to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit within us and His presence upon us also (as on the day of Pentecost), to help us walk and live by the spirit, this is so important. Not just His Spirit from the new birth, but a Pentecostal experience of the Holy Spirit coming upon us subsequent to and apart from the new birth. Once this happens He enables and empowers us to move beyond our sin nature — not by focusing on it and refusing it, but by enriching us and empowering us to do the important things of God, so that we will not even want to do the things we used to, but shouldn’t do now. He will give us the want to, and then the strength to do so. He helps us to destroy old habits and create new ones based on our walk (our living out) by the Spirit. He will erase the old programming tapes (of the mind) and write over them with new programming from the Word of God. To live by the flesh is death, but to live by the Spirit is Life!
“casting down arguments (imaginations) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:5

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, I thank you so much for Your Holy Spirit that lives in me and is now empowering me with His presence upon me to do that which pleasing to You. Thank you Lord for continuing to fill me anew each day with Your Holy Spirit so that my life more nearly reflects Your will and focuses on Your concerns. Through Your Holy Son Jesus, who sent Your Spirit to dwell in and upon me, I pray.

Filled With The Entire Godhead?

For in Him(Jesus) the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete
expression of the divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead
—Father, Son and Holy Spirit —and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and
power].

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
All the fullness of the Godhead (the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) dwells in Jesus Christ (as a man). Imagine that! I didn’t say that the Bible did. Remember He was the Word become flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God! (John 1:1) If the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and the Word was God, then Jesus is God bodily or in the form of humanity. Now if you are in Him and He is in you then you are complete in Him. Then we have the full power of the Godhead dwelling within us, if we are born again, if we are in Christ! Why aren’t we walking in the miracles that followed Jesus? We need to learn to put a demand on that power of God that dwells within us. Quit asking God to come and do something that He has already done and given you both the power and authority to do yourself in His place! We need to bring forth all the power of the Godhead when we speak or act according to the Word of God. We need to expect the same results that Jesus got, that Paul got, that Peter and John got at the gate beautiful. We need to walk in the fullness of that Godhead!. How has it come to pass that this isn’t happening? I’ll tell you why, because of the doctrines of men (religion) that have crept stealthily into the Church over the ages from the very beginning. Because of the doctrines of men keep telling us the power has passed away. Do you know why they say this? They don’t know the Word and they don’t know how to walk in it, so they tell us it’s passed away. That’s not what it says in His Word! It’s time to get them (the wrong doctrines) out and Christ back in! Remember, All that really matters is “Jesus and His death, burial, and resurrection on high!” The same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. (If you are a born again Christian). Are you filled with the entire Godhead?

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, help me to understand the fullness of Your power that dwells within me. Give me a revelation of what it is like and what it is for. Help me to put aside all things of the natural that hinder me and to learn to expect the same results that Jesus and the early church got when they applied Your Word to sickness, disease, and evil spirits. Lord, let the power of Your Holy Spirit manifest itself fully in all that I do and say so that the world will see the Glory of the Lord manifested bodily. But always remind me (caution me) to guard my heart and to give You all the Glory and all the honor. Father I will that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done here, now, on earth as it already is in heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Covered by His Blood

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Here God is telling us that because of the blood of the lamb that was placed on their doorposts He will cause the Angel of death to pass-over them and their household. But any doorpost that does not have the blood of the lamb on it He will allow the Angel of death to strike their firstborn, both of them and of their livestock. God tells them to make this day a memorial and to keep it throughout their generations. He is saying; “remember that which I have done for you!” This was Old Covenant –this was for the Israelites, the Jewish people, God’s Chosen ones. But, under the “New Covenant” Jesus has covered all of mankind with His precious Blood. He is the Lamb of God to us. The only thing necessary to be covered by the Blood of the Lamb today is to make Jesus your Lord! No other work or works are necessary, just believe in Jesus. It’s so easy! The Blood of the Sacrificial Lamb, shed once for all my sin and for my forgiveness. His Blood shed once for all will be my daily pass-over from now on. We need to remember what Jesus did for us! We need to put ourselves under that Blood each and every day. We do that when we have a personal daily relationship with Jesus. Are you covered by the Blood of the Lamb of God?
We MUST KNOW Him, not just know about Him to be covered by His Blood!

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, thank You for sending Jesus to be the Sacrificial Lamb for me. Thank You for the shedding of His Blood that my sin might be washed away, forgotten, cleansed by His blood. Thank You Lord for putting me in remembrance of what Jesus did for me. That through Him by the washing of His blood I have been made the righteousness of God in Jesus. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you have a Covenant with God?
A covenant from God made with Abram (Abraham) and handed down to us through Jesus, 430 years before Moses was told to write down the Ten Commandments. A covenant so powerful that God said it would still prevail over the covenant made with Moses and it still exists today! In the Hebrew language the word translated here as covenant has the meaning that there is to be a cut or incision made implying “Blood Covenant”. H1285. beriyth, ber-eeth’; from H1262in the sense of cutting [like H1254]); a compact (made by passing between pieces of flesh). God made this “everlasting” covenant with Abram (Abraham) and with his seed after him for generations. Abram “cut” the covenant with God for us and then it was ratified through Jesus, and God changed Abram’s name to Abraham – meaning “the father of many nations.” If you are a “born-again” believer, if you have asked Jesus to be the Lord of your life, then you are Abraham’s seed. You have a part of this covenant with God Almighty! You have a right to expect and claim the things promised by God to Abraham and his seed as long as you keep your part. As this New Year comes to a close and we prepare for the beginning of a new year take a stand and stand on God’s Word to you and believe for an exceedingly abundant and fruitful year! And then go out and do your part, what you were called to do.

MY PRAYER…
Father, I thank You for Your Holy Word, thank You for every promise You made in Your Word to Your people. Thank You Father for making a covenant with Abraham and his seed and making it an everlasting covenant through the generations. Thank You Lord that I am a part of that covenant with You, that what You promised Abraham and his seed, You also promised me, because I have believed in Your Son Jesus. Because I am washed in His Blood, I have a part in that covenant. In Jesus mighty name, I Thank You Father.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Arrayed in white robes, taken out of tribulation,(out of the battle and strife) and set before the Throne of God! Can you think of anything better than that? Because we have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb we will serve Him day and night and He will dwell among us. Glory to God, can someone shout Praise the Lord! Will you be one of those arrayed in white robes?

What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!
What can make me white as snow?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, praise the glorious Name of Jesus. Exalt His Name for evermore. Lord thank You for the robe of white that clothes me round about. For the robe of righteousness that You have clothed me with. Thank You Lord for taking me out of the tribulations of this world and placing me high above in heavenly places with You. Thank You Lord that You have come to dwell amongst us and in us, as we are now the temple of the living God. Thank You Lord for calling me to serve You and anointing me to do the work of Your ministry. Though I was not worthy You have Called me and have promoted me within Your Army. I thank You Lord for the priviledge to serve you and for all You have given me. In Jesus’ Holy name and by the power of His Blood I pray.
