Royal Priesthood

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
We are a Royal Priesthood according to God! Do you know what it means to be a Royal Priesthood? We have been made into a royal priesthood, God has chosen us to be His Holy nation. Not acknowledged by some man as a saint! God has made us His Royal Priests! I didn’t say that God did in His Word!
We were created to praise Him and now He has called us out of darkness into His Kingdom of light. He wants us to shine forth with that marvelous light that He has given us through Jesus, His only begotten son. He took a people that were messed up, full of sin, walking around in the darkness that Satan has put forth and translated us into His Holy Kingdom. He has placed His Holy calling on our lives to do His will. We’re not talking here just about those in the 5-fold ministry (pastors and preachers). He is talking about every man, woman and child who has sold out to Jesus! How many of us will answer His call and be among the chosen? The chosen of God are those who answer His call. It’s our choice, anyone can be called, but will you be chosen? Will you answer the call? Jesus is on the “Main” line!

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, thank You for calling me into Your marvelous Kingdom and for translating me out of darkness. Increase in me the knowledge of You, Oh Lord, that I may know the full calling You have placed upon my life. Take me Lord and do with me what You will, I have chosen to give myself unto You, I have made the choice. I have made the choice that You told us to make. I have chosen life! (Deut 30:19) Father take this earthen vessel and mold and shape me, put me into Your fire and burn up that which is not of You. Oh Lord, change me and make me worthy to do Your work. Thank You Lord that You have made me a royal priest in Your Holy Kingdom.

Only Two Commandments!

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
That’s right ONLY 2!
Jesus has given us only two commandments to follow! Read the scripture above again and again until you understand what Jesus is saying in it.

While most people think about only the Ten Commandments presented on stone by Moses, there were actually 613 laws or commandments in the Old Testament. No one could possible keep them all. Even just the ten! Now that we are living in the New Covenant Jesus has given us only two commandments to follow. Jesus makes it very easy for us, we do not have to remember a bunch of old laws. Get over it we no longer live by the 10 Commandments set forth in the Old Testament. Jesus did not do away with the old commandments, He simply stated if you will do these two new ones that I give you (as His Body, His Church) you will in effect fulfill the requirements of ALL the others. Jesus loves His Body like He loves Himself and all He wants is for us to demonstrate that love (His Love in us) to those around us always! Get out of the Old Testament and live life in the New Testament for Jesus!

Prayer…
Heavenly Father I ask You to help me understand the love that You have placed within me through Jesus. Help me Lord to live out and demonstrate that love to those I come in contact with on a daily basis. Lord, place within my heart Your compassion for Your people and help me Lord to be the image of You that You have made me to be.

God’s Divine Healing

And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Is God’s divine healing in your life?

First let me give you the correct and proper translation of the Hebrew here: “I will allow none of the diseases to be brought on you…” Do you want the blessings of God in your life, do you want God’s divine healing in your life, Do you want God’s very best for you and your family? You need the ‘Wisdom’ of God to understand how His system works. He tells us in His Word how to get it. Trouble is most of us are too busy listening to the things of this earthly world (desires, lusts and earthly greed) to give heed to His voice and His will for us so that we can even know what He wants us to do. We don’t realize that He speaks to us in many different ways. Sometimes through a friend or co-worker, sometimes through His ministers (your pastor – you do have one right?), sometimes through an e-mail, or a phone call, sometimes just by that still small voice in our spirit. Most of you think that still small voice is just our own conscience, WRONG, that is God’s Spirit, His still small voice trying to guide us by speaking to our spirit. Trouble is we very seldom listen, especially when we are so caught up in things that will one day (and very soon) perish instead of laying up treasures and spiritual things in heaven. Al He asks is that you “diligently” (means: constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything:) heed His Word. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord!

MY PRAYER…
Father God, I thank You for giving us a choice in this life. We can choose Your way or we can choose the World’s way. You allow us to choose life or to choose death. But You tell us which we should choose. Your way leads to health and all things that pertain to life and Godliness. The World’s way leads to sickness, disease, poverty, lack, death and eternal destruction. I choose life, Lord. I purpose from this day forward Lord to diligently pursue life and Godliness through You and Your Word. Lord increase my strength in these areas through the power of Your Holy Spirit that I may have the power to overcome. Lord I realize that I can of myself do nothing, but that all things are possible through Jesus Christ

Authentic Christians

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
How do you recognize real “Authentic” Christians? Did you know there are “False” Christians. They aren’t really what they seem, we are warned about them in the scripture also. So, how do you recognize authentic Christians, the true followers of Jesus? How do you know who the true (Authentic) Christians are? How do you separate the true Christians from the one’s claiming to be Christian, but are really just religious people punching a time clock? Jesus said they (the Authentic Christians, the ones who are Christ-like) love each other just as He loved the disciples. In the immediate context, this means He was willing to give sacrificially and selflessly by dying for them on the cross, and He was also willing to love selflessly and practically by becoming their servant and even washing their feet to show them how they must be. His ministry reveals what a Christian is to be like, ALL the time, not just on Sunday mornings in church. In the book of Acts they met daily from house to house. Imagine if we all read, understood, and did the Gospels, and committed to love each other in the same way Jesus showed His love to His disciples! Are you a disciple of Jesus, a true (Authentic) Christian, or are you just a religious social (Counterfeit) Christian? You are a true (Authentic) Christian if you love the Brethren all the time and bear the fruit of a Christ-like life. Otherwise you’re only a social Christian, a religious counterfeit. Going to church doesn’t make a Christian just like going to McDonalds doesn’t make you a hamburger!

MY PRAYER…
Father of Compassion, Mercy, and God of all grace, I thank You for teaching me to love through the example of Your Son Jesus. May my words and actions reflect some resemblance of His love toward Your people today. May I learn to walk, talk and live the life that He lived everyday of my life. Father, help me to not be a religious counterfeit like the Pharisees and Sadducees. Through Christ, my Great and Glorious example, I pray.

Bearing The Fruit Of A Christian

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Is your life bearing the fruit of a Christian (Christ-like) walk?

In this parable Jesus was using a fruit tree as an example of men. He was really talking about those who say they are His, but aren’t bearing the fruit of a Christ-like walk. There are many who claim to be Christians (“Christ-like”), but really they aren’t. They may have accepted Jesus as their savior, but have they really made Him the Lord over their lives? NO. Do they really fellowship with Him and serve Him daily? NO. They are really just punching their religious time clocks on Sunday mornings thinking that’s all it takes to be a Christian and you’re on your way to heaven. If that’s so, then they are in for a big surprise come judgment day, especially if they aren’t walking the talk! It’s one thing to know about Jesus, but it is a totally different thing to actually
KNOW Jesus! To know Jesus you must have a daily if not continual relationship with Him. Those who don’t have a daily relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost don’t know Him, and that’s what being a Christian is all about! Notice what He says will happen to them, they will be cut down and cast into the fire. Could He possibly mean that eternal lake of fire? If you read on in that chapter you’ll see that He says, “Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but (or only) he that does the will of my Father in heaven.” Do you walk the walk or just talk the talk? Your fruit will let us know!

MY PRAYER…
Most Holy Father, thank You for Your mercy and Your grace. Thank You for Your Son and the Blood He shed for me. Praise You Father, for You are worthy of ALL our praise. Father, let Your Holy Spirit fill me fresh each day with Your precious power. That same power that fell on the day of Pentecost. That same power that gave such boldness to Peter and Stephen and the rest of Your early church. Power to bear forth fruit in this earthly life. Power to be able to separate myself from this world and consecrate myself unto You. I thank You Father that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever and that we are still in the same dispensation of mercy and grace and power as the early church was following Pentecost. Thank You Lord for enduing me with power from on high to be a witness unto You and to serve You day by day. In Jesus’ name I pray.

If My Words abide in You, Jesus speaking. The BIBLE is the living Word of God. God’s living Word abiding in you is how your spirit will walk in perfect fellowship with God and your faith will become as natural as your breathing. When you are walking in perfect fellowship with God you will know that you know that you know that you know that you know, that whatever you ask will be given you. The Bible is our manual for life, given to us by God to direct our lives while we live out this earthly existence in this fleshly shell, this earth suit, this house we call a body. We are spirit and we only live in this body for a short time, and we have a soul (our intellect). When we walk according to His Word and we listen to the ‘still small voice’ as God whispers to us, we will bear much fruit.

Is Jesus proclaiming you before the Father?

Jesus didn’t just die for my sins, He lives for me. In fact, He is at God’s right hand right now, claiming me as His own (see 1 John 2:1-2). He is telling the Father, “That one, Pastor Duane, he’s mine Dad, I bought him with my Blood!” He is delivering me daily from sin’s dominion through His resurrection. If He was willing to die to save me, what will He withhold from me now that He lives, victorious over death and lives in me? Nothing, all that He had and has He has given freely unto me. Everything Jesus was and is today is also mine in & through Him!

MY PRAYER…
Holy and Righteous Father, I thank You for Jesus, who is at Your side and who knows my heart, my struggles, and the world that I am in. I thank You for Your constant care and protection through all of my difficulties and struggles. I thank You for all of the triumphs I have through Jesus and Your Holy Spirit. Do You Trust in the Lord with all your heart?

What man should we fear? No man! Fear is such a paralyzing emotion. It robs us of courage and vitality, it removes our decision-making ability, and our strength. It causes us to do things we know we shouldn’t do and that we always regret afterwards. Fear is the opposite of faith and it steals our happiness and joy. Fear is of the Devil! Resist the devil and he will flee! Courage helps us step out of fear’s paralysis and into victory. But this kind of courage only comes to us when we fully understand our position in Christ. If we are in faith and trusting God there can be no room for fear in our lives. Satan cannot take our mind, our attitude, and most of all, he cannot take our relationship with God unless we let him do so. A relationship given to us through Jesus, as long as we trust in the Lord our God and stay in faith. Perfect love casts out all fear. And there is NO room for fear when your spirit is full of ‘Faith’, faith in God and what He is and can do!

Mighty Redeemer, thank You for triumphing over all that I would in the natural man fear. Thank you that You have not only given me Jesus in whom I trust, but a hope by which I can live victoriously. So You Want Benefits?

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Did you comprehend what He (God) just said in His scripture to us? The Lord our God loads His children daily with benefits! He didn’t say sickness, disease, depression, and poverty. And He didn’t say just some, He said He would ‘load’ us, that means a lot! He has even provided us with salvation. The Hebrew word translated as salvation here is; H3444. yeshuw’ah, yesh-oo’-aw; fem. pass. part. of H3467; something saved, i.e. (abstr.) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity:–deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.
Notice that among the many things that the translator could have used and should have used are victory, prosperity, deliverance, health, and welfare or well being. All of these are part of our salvation. Don’t just reach into the gift box and take out one thing, take it ALL! I feel sorry for those people whose churches do NOT teach the ‘full meal deal’ concerning salvation! Being saved and having eternal life means nothing here and now unless you also have victory, prosperity, deliverance, health, and well being. These are ALL some of God’s benefits that He already gave us! You do NOT have to wait until you are in Heaven for these things. What good are they to you then? The Bible says: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) All of these are part of our salvation. There is NO sickness and disease in Heaven. There is NO lack in Heaven. There is NO defeat in Heaven. That means we shouldn’t have any here and now either if Matthew 6:10 is true, and God’s Word is always true! He did this for me before I ever loved Him! He loads us daily with His benefits. “Blessed be the Lord, my God!”

Holy Father God, thank You for the air I breath, the blood that pumps through my veins, and the Spirit of life that You have breathed into me. Thank You Father for loving me before I ever loved You. For loving me so much that You sent Jesus, Your only begotten Son, to take my place on the cross. To bear that which I was due, that I might have life and life more abundantly. Thank You for loading me daily with benefits and good things. Thank You Lord, that You are the God of more than enough! Thank You Father, for Your saving grace and Your mercy unto me. THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…

Don’t be deceived in what you are thinking or doing.

There isn’t a man (or a woman) that ever walked the face of the earth that didn’t have sin,save the man Jesus Christ Himself. This includes you and me! I don’t care who you are or that you say you’ve never sinned. The Bible says: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.(Rom 3:23)” And God’s Word (The Bible) is truth! For we were all born of Adam’s seed, who put mankind into sin, and we deceive ourselves if we say we have no sin or have never sinned. But, God (everybody say, “But, God “) in His great mercy saw fit to send His only Son to pay the price for us. He had to because there was no other way we could be made righteous before Him. His righteous judgment would have demanded our death. But, Jesus bought us out of sin, sickness, poverty, depression, bondage and whatever else you might need recovered from with His blood on the cross that great day over 2000 years ago. We must now walk (be renewed by) in the light of His Grace and Mercy. Receive what Jesus has already done for you and allow His Word to change and conform you into the image of Him. Yes, into the image and likeness of God Himself!

Loving Father, thank You for making a way for me where there was no way. Thank You for showing me the sin in my life and making a way for my forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. Father, help me by the power of Your Holy Spirit to walk and live a sinless life from this day forward. Change me Lord and renew my mind in You. Help me to know that I have been cleansed with the blood of Jesus and been made righteous before You, through His righteousness. In Jesus’ name I pray.
